Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday – 5 Minute 5 People Challenge Giving Tuesday is coming up soon and Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods has a 5-minute Giving Tuesday challenge for you! Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.). This year it’s on November 29th. In honor of this day, we are asking our community supporters to donate $20 to Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods and 5 minutes of their time passing on this challenge to 5 friends who agree to participate. Our goal is to raise $16,000 to support our programs and raise awareness about the organization. Click the link below to donate and share this page with your friends. Please join us for an unforgettable evening of art, appetizers & beverages! Friday, November 18, 6:30-8:30pm. Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods, with McKinleyville Community Services District, is incredibly excited to host the First Annual Arts of McKinleyville on Friday, November 18, 2022 at The McKinleyville Teen & Community Center. Arts of McKinleyville will help support our McKinleyville Teen Center program and we invite you to join us as we make a difference in the lives of youth in the Arcata and McKinleyville area. This being the first annual Arts of McKinleyville  event, our goal is to raise $5,000. We ask for your generosity in supporting this event and are looking for sponsors at the following levels: Canvas Sponsor at $500, Easel Sponsor at $250 and Pallete Sponsor at $100. We are also looking for donations of art pieces to display and sell during the event. Thank you for your support. Entry Tickets are $15 each and include one drink token and appetizers. Humboldt County Teen Court Jury Training

Teen Court 939 Harris St, Eureka

Humboldt County Teen Court (a program of the Boys & Girls Club) is hosting a training for new teen volunteers in grades 8-12th on Thursday, October 27th and November 10th from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club Admin Offices, 939 Harris Street, Eureka, CA 95503. This is a Free event.  Email, call or text to reserve a spot. Teen Court is a real court run by teens for teens. It is based on restorative justice, community building, peer-led support, and healing. There is also opportunity to volunteer to help youth struggling with school engagement through peer support groups, called Attendance Councils. Volunteers earn community service hours, help make a difference in another teen’s life, and learn valuable life skills.
