This year’s theme for the 27th Annual Champions for Youth Dinner is Luau…. So, grab your Hawaiian attire and join us on Saturday, April 6th, from 5:30pm to 9pm at the Hangar – 3705 Boeing Avenue in McKinleyville.
With live performance, a Dutch raffle, a live auction, and a fabulous catered dinner, this will surely be a night to remember!
This year we are excited to announce our “Champion for Youth” honoree, Trevor Harper, of Harper Motors, for his commitment in supporting great futures for our local youth! Receiving our “Volunteer of the Year” award is Ami Wruck, for her countless hours spent volunteering at our Eureka Teen Center and our garden program.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods (BGCR) serves thousands of youth. Our mission is for our members to achieve academic success, practice good character and citizenship, and live healthy lifestyles.
Thanks to donors and sponsors like you, BGCR stayed open to serve for the entirety of the pandemic. Our members come because it is fun; they remain because our staff and volunteers provide a safe place and a sense of belonging.
BGCR operates four sites in Humboldt County; the Eureka Clubhouse, the Eureka Teen Center, Pacific Union, and the McKinleyville Teen Center. In addition to these sites, we also host Teen Court, a juvenile diversion program proven to be an asset for teens.
