About Us

Our Eureka Clubhouse serves kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade. We have fun, creative and safe programs and activities. The Clubhouse is the oldest of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Redwoods’ locations. We have been a kid-safe, after-school and summer alternative program since 1938!

Youth are able to help grow fruits, vegetables and flowers while learning gardening skills.

A comprehensive health and wellness initiative that strives to improve the overall health of members by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships.

Science Club

With a range of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineer & Mathematics) activities, members have the opportunity to explore the world around them.

SMART Girls

Clubhouse SMART Girls

A small group health, fitness, prevention/ education and self-esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls. Through dynamic sessions, highly participatory activities, field trips and mentoring opportunities with adult women, Club girls explore their own and societal attitudes and values as they build skills for eating right, staying physically fit, getting good health care and developing positive relationships with peers and adults.

Passport to Manhood

This program consists of 14 sessions, each of which concentrates on a specific aspect of manhood through highly interactive activities. Passport to Manhood represents a targeted effort to engage young men in discussions and activities that reinforce positive behavior.

SMART Moves

Members are offered the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a mentor to discuss pressing issues and life goals.

Ultimate Journey

Clubhouse Ultimate Journey

Developed in partnership with the National Park Service, the curriculum features age-appropriate modules that introduce young people to aspects of environmental stewardship. It includes fun, experiential, environmental education activities that cultivate an awareness and appreciation of the natural wonders that surround young people.

Helps Club members achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring, and high-yield learning activities while encouraging members to become self-directed learners.

 

Cooking Club

Clubhouse Cooking Club

Members learn kitchen safety as well as how to make healthy choices when picking meals. Members will learn how to cook healthy meals with the support of Club staff.

Saturday, December 9th — Trucker’s Parade and Pre-Party at Eureka Teen Center

Tuesday, December 19th – Family Dinner, 5pm-6pm

 

Days OPEN during Winter Break (hours 11am—5pm):

Friday, December 22nd and Wednesday, December 27th through Friday, December 29th

Days CLOSED during Winter Break:

December 25th and 26th

In addition, we will be CLOSED January 1st and 2nd

We will be OPEN January 3rd, 4th and 5th (hours 11am—5pm)

CH Jan Member of the Month

Braydon is one of our members who could easily be honored every week and every month. He’s not only one of the best behaved members of the Clubhouse, he’s unselfish, kind, empathetic and extremely helpful. Braydon is a “glue guy”. He brings people together and keeps people together. He participates in every program/club that is available to him, and he is a model of positive behavior and contribution. Braydon is widely beloved by staff and truly deserving of this honor.
